Introducing the New Single-Use BioReactor BallProbe

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest product, a new single-use biopharma probe: Single-Use BioReactor BallProbe. Our team has been working tirelessly to develop a solution that addresses the pressing need for safeguarding high-value pharmaceutical and bioprocessing batches from contamination while ensuring accurate and repeatable Raman measurement of liquids and solids.

The decision to create the Single-Use BioReactor BallProbe was driven by the industry’s increasing adoption of single-use solutions in the biopharmaceutical sector. We recognized the demand for solutions that not only enhance efficiency and reduce costs but also minimize contamination risks.

We are proud to say that the Single-Use BioReactor BallProbe is not only an essential tool for ensuring batch purity but also offers significant time and cost savings by eliminating the need for cumbersome cleaning and validation procedures. By providing end-users with confidence in the safety and purity of their final products, the Single-Use BioReactor BallProbe adds substantial value to the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturing process.

Our team engineered the Single-Use BioReactor BallProbe using sanitary finished (15Ra) 316 stainless steel and high-purity sapphire optics, specifically tailored to meet the stringent requirements of the bioprocessing industry. To facilitate sterilization, the probe is conveniently packaged in tear-away bags, allowing for easy autoclave, steam-in-place (SIP), ethylene oxide (EtO), or integration into larger single-use systems with subsequent gamma sterilization. Once the process is complete, the probe can be disposed of, ensuring batch purity from start to finish.

The Single-Use BioReactor BallProbe is designed to be compatible with standard Pg13.5 ports, matching the industry-standard design of dissolved oxygen (DO) bioprocess probes. It features a 12mm diameter and comes in 220mm or 120mm immersion lengths. Our standard configuration includes a welded flange that prevents the probe from backing out of the port, but we also offer customization options to suit the unique requirements of integrators.

To further streamline the process, the Single-Use BioReactor BallProbe can be easily coupled with our MarqMetrix FiberHeadSU, which serves as the fiber optic interface to our All-In-One Raman analyzer. Our newly designed FiberHeadSU boasts a proprietary fitting that simplifies the secure attachment and detachment of the Single-Use BallProbe. It’s important to note that end users must have a FiberHeadSU to use Single-Use BallProbes, although standard FiberHeads can be converted to the FiberHeadSU model.
