MarqMetrix will address the challenges impacting the adoption and use of Raman spectroscopy in biochemical applications at the IFPAC 2020 Process Raman Symposium on February 24 in Washington, D.C. MarqMetrix’s founder, CEO and Chief Technical Officer, Brian Marquardt, Ph.D., will chair the session.
The interest in using Raman spectroscopy for various biochemical applications has grown exponentially in recent years. There is a consensus in the industry that Raman spectroscopy is a reliable and cost-effective tool that can provide very useful quantitative information for the characterization of upstream and downstream processes.
However, there are significant challenges that slow the adoption and effective use of Raman spectroscopy. Most of these challenges come from the apparent complexity of Raman spectroscopy as a technology: lack of reliable guidelines for selecting the optimal hardware for a specific problem and lack of broad agreement in the community around effective data analysis approaches. In this presentation, we will attempt to summarize these difficulties and discuss possible solutions.
If you are attending IFPAC 2020, please join us in conference room Brookside B on February 24 at 1:05 pm ET. You can read more about this event here.
While at the show, visit us in booth 409 on February 23-26 to meet the team and see our products in action: All-in-One, BallProbes, and FlowCell.
